Certifying Program The Certifying Program is the primary golf-related program of our chapter. Individuals that enroll in the six-week Certifying Program must attend all sessions in one of our spring, summer and fall programs held at East Potomac Park and Langston Golf Course. Participants must reach certain golf and Life Skills milestones to obtain one of a number of The First Tee certification levels, including par, birdie, eagle, and ace. We use a combination of our current staff and Assistant PGA Professionals from local clubs to conduct the golf instruction during these sessions. |

"TARGET" Programming Instruction that we provide to youth groups and schools for a limited number of sessions or even on a one-time basis. Target Programming is an opportunity to introduce students unfamiliar with The First Tee to the more in-depth Certifying Program. A number of local charter schools bring their students to our locations at Langston and East Potomac for golf and Life Skills instruction. |

National School Program During the last three years, we have been able to incorporate our programming into the DC Public Schools and currently have Physical Education teachers in 50 of the 88 elementary schools trained to teach golf in gym class, reaching approximately 4,000 young people annually. |
