The Young Professionals Council (YPC) is a network of active young professionals in the DMV metropolitan area dedicated to advancing the mission of The First Tee of Greater Washington, DC. Through fundraising efforts, volunteering as coaches, and broadening awareness of The First Tee, the YPC provides resources for college preparation (including scholarships for college-bound participants), equipment, and supporting program classes in the growing DC chapter of The First Tee.
In addition to the many instances supporting The First Tee of DC participants, the YPC hosts various events and golf outings throughout the year to provide networking opportunities for its members – the camaraderie that golf encourages, as well as a belief in the game’s values, ultimately define the drive behind the YPC.

For 2017, the co-chairs of the YPC are Ben Pulliam and Siwol Chang.
The main annual fundraising event put on by the Young Professionals Council is the GOLF-A-THON, held at Ft. Belvoir Golf Club since 2014. In 2016, the GOLF-A-THON raised over $21,000 to benefit The First Tee of Greater Washington, DC. The funds raised are dedicated to providing college scholarships (awarded to eligible participants through an application process), supporting various program locations and classes, and golf equipment for participants.
