2900 M Place, SE Washington, DC (corner of M Place & 2900 block of Fairlawn Avenue, SE – one block off Minnesota Avenue, SE)

Sponsored by Pope Branch Park Restoration Alliance (PBPRA) in partnership with the Anacostia River Keeper and Clean Waterways

Celebrating the life and work of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr and the memory of PBPRA Founder Joseph Glover.  This is a DAY ON not a DAY OFF!  This beautification project renews and revitalizes a creek, a street, a park, tracks and trails.  Your volunteer spirit does make a difference.

Volunteers are needed.  Welcome starts at 10:00am; breakfast sandwiches, hot beverages and water is provided.  All clean-up supplies are provided.  Wear heavy shoes or boots; wear clothing you don’t mind getting dirty.   There are positions available that don’t require cleaning.  Students seeking community service hours must bring a school volunteer service form.  Great event for young children.  Dogs are welcome!
