Young Professionals Council SCHOLARSHIP SCRAMBLE
For four years, the main fundraising event put on by the Young Professionals Council was the GOLF-A-THON, held at Fort Belvoir Golf Club. Since its inception, the GOLF-A-THON raised over $65,000 to benefit The First Tee of Greater Washington, DC. The funds raised were dedicated to providing college scholarships (awarded to eligible participants through an application process), supporting various program locations and classes, and golf equipment for participants.
This year’s marquee fundraising event for the Young Professionals Council of The First Tee of Greater Washington DC takes place Saturday, June 29th at Laurel Hill Golf Club in Lorton, VA. The Scholarship Scramble will be a traditional scramble format with a 12:00 PM shotgun start.
- Recruit a foursome to play in the event;
- Raise $500 for the event through friends, family and colleagues (just like we have done in past years with the Golfathon); and
- Help secure sponsors for the event.
Our goal is to maximize the number of foursomes for the event. Each entry costs $175, which covers your round, food, and 2 drink tickets, cart and more.
