Classes at Golf Courses
“For us as parents, the Nine Core Values were the attraction for the program. The First Tee helps us to reinforce these values in our home for both of our participants in the program.” -A The First Tee of Greater Washington, DC Parent
We offer after-school and weekend programs at 14 golf facilities throughout DC, Northern Virginia, and Montgomery County, MD. To find a location near you visit our locations page. Classes occur during after school hours and on weekends, times and days vary throughout locations. Young people attend class once a week during a session. We offer 4 sessions throughout the year, Spring I (March – April), Spring II (May-June), Summer (July-August), and Fall (September-October).
The First Tee of Greater Washington, DC is not your typical youth sports program, we use golf to teach young people life lessons and leadership skills. Classes include a fun, group setting for youth ages 7 to 18 regardless of background or previous experience. Teaming up with experts in positive youth development, The First Tee helps youth become good golfers and even better people.

“Everything about The First Tee leads back to sportsmanship, respect for self and others. The thing that resonated the most with my daughter is the selflessness and passion of the coaches and staff to help every participant to learn the game and be the best person that they can be. That dedication has caused her to step up her commitment to golf. She now appreciates how this game can change a participant’s life.”
“My son has gained more confidence not only in his ability to play golf, but also in himself. He has become very proud of his achievements and wants to continue to work hard and reach greater goals, both on and off the course.”
